Known as Argylls Secret Coast this part of Argyll offers dramatic scenery, single track roads, amazing wildlife, friendly locals especially if you catch one of the ceildhs.
The house is in the village of Tighnabruaich which has a Spar, a well known art gallery , two eateries and a pub.
Just 2 minutes from Waterside is a newly opened restaurant called Botanica specialising in locally caught seafood The Kyles are a rich source of langoustine locally know as prawns. There is also a lovely Tearoom run by Sinead. 5 minutes along the coast is WellPark Hotel with its sports bar and good traditional food. The Kames Hotel is another lovely pub. Further afield the Oystercatcher is under new ownership and has a great menu. A perfect spot to catch the setting sun
The Cowal Way comes right through the village so you don’t need to walk far to experience peace and breath-taking beauty.
Getting Here
Only two hours west of Glasgow you can either take the ferry across the Clyde to Dunoon or drive round across the fabiluous rest and be thankful. The approaching new road is the A8003 and is one of Jeremy Clarkson’s most spectacular roads for driving.
